These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of Scanning Ocean Sectors training course (the “Training Course”). If you proceed to use this Training Course you are agreeing to and will be bound by these terms and conditions.

  • Courses/Courseware: Textual and graphical aid(s) to learning
  • Materials: Courses provided by authors (“Third Party Providers”)
  • Members(s): Registered Course Users

 

COURSE COPYRIGHT

All courseware and materials are copyrighted: No part of these may be copied, photocopied or reproduced in any form or by any means without the permission in writing from Scanning Ocean Sectors. Violation of these conditions will lead to prosecution.

All trademarks, service marks, products or services are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective holders and are acknowledged by the authors.

 

REFUNDS POLICY

Customer support must receive all requests for refunds, replacements, and adjustments via email or an online request within 7 days after purchase. Refunds, replacements, adjustments will be considered for:

  • Medical condition with proof of a medical certificate showing adequate details of problems that would arise from attending the course.

Refunds/Replacements/Adjustments will NOT be considered for:

  • Inadequate funds
  • Lack of travel arrangements
  • Lack of accommodation arrangements
  • Call to duty

We highly recommend that you view the course outline before registration. By doing so, you can make sure that the course meets your requirements and expectations.

 

TRANSFERS

Written notification is required to transfer a booking to another course date. Course bookings can be transferred without charge when notification is received 62 or more days prior to the start date of the originally booked course.

Where notification is received within 0-30 days (inclusive) of the start date of the originally booked course, a once only transfer is allowed within a 12 month period from when acceptance is provided along with a 25% charge applied based on the original fee. If that transfer is then cancelled or changed at any time, the full course fee remains payable.

No transfers can be made on the day of the course; therefore 100% of course fee will be payable.

Only one transfer is permitted per booking.

 

CANCELLATION OF COURSE

Scanning Ocean Sectors reserves the right to amend or cancel any course, course times or dates. Any course already paid in full will be subject to a 100% refund or free transfer to an alternative course date. All travel, accommodation or any other costs incurred by the student other than the course fee are the sole responsibility of the student.

Customer support must receive all requests for cancellations via email or an online request. Written notification of cancellation of the course booking within 0 – 30 days (inclusive) of the course date, or failure to attend a course without prior written notification, will be subject to a 50% cancellation charge of the full course fee and 100% course fee for non attendance. 31 – 60 days (inclusive) of course date,  or failure to attend a course without prior written notification, will be subject to a 75% cancellation charge of the full course fee and 100% course fee for non attendance.

 

MEMBERSHIP RESTRICTIONS

Each member to Scanning Ocean Sectors course is granted a unique user ID and password which is used to gain access to the materials therein. Under NO circumstances whatsoever may any registered user share or distribute their user IDs or passwords to third parties. Any breach of this term will result in the immediate suspension of the account and all course grades being withdrawn.

Members with printable rights are granted permission to produce a single hard copy of each training course for their own personal use only. Members without printable rights must under NO circumstances whatsoever print, duplicate or reprint the courseware contained within.

Under NO circumstances whatsoever shall members distribute the courseware contained within this site. Each course is individually licensed and any member found in breach of this term shall have their account suspended immediately and all course grades will be withdrawn.

 

GENERAL USE RESTRICTIONS

All information, documents, products, software, and services (the “Materials”) provided on this training course were provided by or to Scanning Ocean Sectors by their respective authors (the “Third Party Providers”) and are the copyrighted work of Scanning Ocean Sectors and/or the Third Party Providers. Except as stated herein, none of the materials may be copied, reproduced, distributed or republished in any form or by any means, including, but not limited to, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without the prior express written permission of Scanning Ocean Sectors or the Third Party Provider.

No part of the training course, including logos, graphics, or images, maybe reproduced or retransmitted in any way, or by any means, without the prior express written permission of Scanning Ocean Sectors. You also may not, without the prior express written permission from Scanning Ocean Sectors, “mirror” any material contained on this training course in any other training course or on any other server.

Nothing on this training course shall be construed as conferring any license or permission under any of Scanning Ocean Sectors or any Third Party Provider’s intellectual property rights, whether by estoppel, implication, or otherwise. You acknowledge sole responsibility for obtaining any such permission.

Permission is granted to display and download Scanning Ocean Sectors course’s materials on this training course provided that: (1) the materials are viewed by Adobe Reader/Viewer or a Microsoft Word, (2) the use of such Materials is solely for personal, non-commercial and informational use and will not be copied or posted on any networked computer or broadcast in any media, and (3) no modifications of any of the materials are made. This permission terminates automatically without notice if you breach any of these terms or conditions. Upon termination, you will immediately destroy any downloaded and printed materials.

GENERAL

All students are responsible for making sure all coursework is handed in completed, clearly marked on every page with your full name and date on time to your teacher. If any paperwork is incomplete or missing and the student has attained a level of achievement they shall be restricted to a “Pass” certificate.

This training course could include inaccuracies or typographical errors. Scanning Ocean Sectors and the Third Party Providers may make improvements and/or changes in the courses described in this training course at any time without notice. Changes are periodically made to the training course.

Any refunds which incur additional bank charges or fees will be deducted from the total amount to be refunded to the student/s.

These Terms represent the entire understanding relating to the use of the training course and prevail over any prior or contemporaneous, conflicting or additional, communications. Scanning Ocean Sectors can revise these Terms at any time without notice by updating this posting.
